SpringTide Villa
Home from home in the Garden of Wales
Local attractions
Ferryside is off the beaten track, located about 15 minutes south of Carmarthen, south Wales, on the Towy Estuary
opposite Llanstephan. The village centre offers a cafe, a pub, a post
office and a general store. The beach stretches along the length of the
village and boasts breathtaking views on a sunny day. At the far end,
you can even see Laugharn around the coastline (formerly home to Dylan
Thomas). At low tide, the shores attract many waders and waterbirds,
including curlews and resident egrets. The surrounding farmland brings
Red Kites, Buzzards and Peregrine Falcons. When the tide is right, it is
possible to fish for River Towy Sewin right off the beach. The River
Towy Yacht Club has a slipway for launching boats and canoes. Ferryside Station has one of the few manned signal boxes left in the UK.

"Fantastic accommodation and we had fantastic weather. We found the whole week very relaxing and Ferryside was an excellent base to visit the Welsh surroundings."
